Following a meeting of directors in Nashville, Tennessee, July 10-11, Adult Ministries International Single Adult Coordinator Linda Hardin announced the formation of Nazarene Fellowship of Single Adults interim council.

Discipleship has always been at the heart of SoloCon and its leaders. However, yearly events have fallen short of the goal of reaching a new generation of single adults with the call of Christ and the lifestyle of holiness. Therefore, through several years of study, discussion, and prayer, Single Adult Ministries and the SoloCon directors have decided to change strategies. A first step in this strategy is to form Nazarene Fellowship of Single Adults.

The purpose of Nazarene Fellowship of Single Adults (NFSA) is to help organize, network, and promote ministries to and by single adults in every level of the denomination. An integral part of this purpose is the continual education of the church regarding the need and benefit of involving single adults in ministry.

NFSA’s Council includes Secretary/Treasurer Beverly (Bunny) Fox, Chairperson Doug Fruehling, Donna Holmes, Larry D. Spicer, and Eddie Guinn. The council will be developing a NFSA web site and planning activities.  We appreciate your input and prayers regarding this ministry.

This new strategy places a focus upon the utilization of existing church structures and ministries to prepare, challenge, and inspire single adults to a life of Christian discipleship.
