Survey Says. . .Recipients AND Providers!
A Vision for the Aging Church: Renewing Ministry for and by Seniors was published in 2011. Co-authored by James M. Houston and Michael Parker, it is well worth the read! They report on the tremendous expansion of the older adult population, they reference scripture, and they cite research by gerontologists. Examples are presented, and advice is given to seniors, their pastors, and their congregations regarding best practices of both serving and being served by seniors.

Fields Ripe for Partnerships!
Our culture lies to us and preaches self-sufficiency. The writer of Ecclesiastes points out that “two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; if one falls down, his friend can help him up” (Eccl.4:10). Such a partnership between Prime Time and Nazarene Higher Education certainly offers benefits to each entity.
Many of us attended a Nazarene school where we were trained for our life’s work. In the 2011-12 academic year, Nazarene worldwide college enrollment was 49,547, of which 19,743 students were on campuses in the USA/Canada.
While most senior adults cannot regularly visit these campuses, we have the privilege of connecting the generations in a variety of ways. As a result of how you’ve engaged the gifts God’s given you, you could be a great role model for the student community. If God has blessed you financially, you may be able to provide some financial support.
