2010 Hispanic Sunday School Teacher Cruise |

For the first time in the Hispanic ministries of USA-Canada, February 23 to March 3, 2010, a group of Hispanic Sunday School teachers from California and the western states will receive a 12-hour training onboard the Carnival Spirit cruise ship.
They will sail from San Diego to the Acapulco, Ixtapa, and Manzanillo ports of call. A tour of Acapulco and a visit to the First Church of the Nazarene is included. These are the 12 workshops: 1. Cumplamos la misión (Fulfilling the Mission --Woody Stevens) 2. ¿Deseo ardiente o fusible quemado? (A Burning Desire or a Burned-Out Spirit) 3. El maestro como líder (The teacher as a leader) 4. Herramientas para maestros de adultos (Effective Teaching tools for Adults) 5. Mejor enseñanza para adultos (Better teaching for adults) 6. Enseñanza que transforma -jóenes (Teaching that transforms-youth) 7. No se quede atrás -jóvenes (Don’t Get Left Behind: Understanding the PostmodernTeenager) 8. Socios de Dios, en la enseñanza de niños (Partners with God in Teching Children) 9. Diez ideas para maestros de niños (Ten Tips for Terrific Teachers) 10. Los niños cuentan, valen mucho (Children count) 11. Las siete leyes de la enseñanza (the 7 teaching laws) 12. 24 ideas para enseñar mejor (24 ideas for better teaching). José Pacheco will be the instructor and José González (pastor, Belvedere Spanish Church, Los Angeles) will conduct the devotional talks every day. Even though this is the first time and more or less for a limited USA area, for 2011 there will be a Hispanic National Sunday School Training Cruise, in cooperation with the personnel of the office of the International Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries, Christian Lay Training, of Lenexa, Kansas.
